Nogusco
After a first career in communications, Romain, in search of meaning, decided to explore a new path and become a cabinetmaker. Driven by a desire for change, he set out on the Pacific Crest Trail in the United States. Walking allows him to reflect on the possibility of an alternative life centered on woodworking and creation.
Back in France, his encounters with skilled craftsmen led to an intimate dialogue with the material, where time fades away in favor of attention to gesture.
With a CAP in cabinetmaking obtained in 2020, Romain inaugurated the Nogùsco workshop in Amboise, breathing new life into an old walnut oil mill.
Committed since 2023 to creating one-off pieces or very small series, his work reveals the intrinsic beauty of wood, transforming parquet offcuts into veritable works of art. This creative process, rooted in respect for the environment, enhances the value of wood from the Tronçais forest, underlining his commitment to sustainable development.
