Anje Fontaine

Anje Fontaine lives and works in Lyon.

After graduating from the Jean Cottin School (ESAIL) in interior architecture, she turned to ceramics, training with Pascaline Bostyn and Dominique Hermann (at Atelier Terre Celadon).

Offering a modern yet innovative approach, Anje Fontaine creates wall ceramics that oscillate between simplicity and sophistication. Each piece is unique, highlighting the natural texture of the clay, sometimes enriched with a crackle glaze or Chinese ink enhancement. Variations in white or powder pink, depending on the piece, play with light and shadow to create a world of imaginary landscapes or Japanese gardens.

Anje Fontaine's works are remarkable for their refinement and authenticity. They pay profound homage to nature and the earth, transforming this raw material with elegance and refinement.
